SAQSAYWAMAN:
Located 2km. north-east of the city of cusco, saqsaywaman probably was a religious center, although it also might have served as an important military fortress.
the temple of hanan qosqo of upper cusco is located and It was dedicated to the adoration of the sun, moon, stars and lightning. saqsaywaman means " satisfied hank"

Located 3 km north-east of cusco, q'enqo means labyrinth.
ceremonies to the sun, to the moon, and the stars took place here, perhaps in the semicircle amphitheater, with nineteen niches built into the base. the stone structure was built on a rock.
PUKA PUKARA:
Has numerous located 6km. north-east of cusco, this complex structure encloses, interior squares and roads; it might have served as a "tambo" or place of rest.
TAMBOMACHAY:
Located 7 km north-east of cusco. a natural spring pours through three constructed inca waterfalls.
tambomachay might have served as a religious site related to water and the regeneration of the earth.
it is calculated that it was built around the year 1500 a.d.
